11-LITERATURE PREP: Wed 25-Feb

Hi Everyone,

the PREP this week is as follows;

  • Self-assess my practice essay (use rubric in ‘assessment criteria’ in Unit1- AOS 1section) -> Assessment rubric – AOS 1
  • Complete week 5 pre-readings (and any others that you’ve missed)
  • Revise for the assessment task
    • To do this, go back through the tasks we’ve completed so far in the OneNote and make sure you have completed them.
    • Also, make sure you have a single-side page of handwritten notes that you can bring use during the assessment.

11-LANGUAGE PREP: Mon 23-Feb

Hi everyone,

the PREP is as follows;

  • Complete pre-readings for week 5 (listed in pre-reading page in tasks)
  • Make sure you have your full collection of six articles for the scrapbook (we will be using them on Friday)
  • Complete glossary entries for all P&P key metalanguage terms (have a look in the tasks page to find them in the P&P tasks)
  • Complete any unfinished tasks from today’s class.

It’s important that you are all making our best efforts to complete PREP tasks so that you can be prepared for the learning in classes, please contact me if you are unable to complete the PREP tasks.

12-LITERATURE PREP: Mon 23-Feb

Hi everyone;

PREP this week is as follows;

  • REVISE for the SAC on Friday
  • Complete any incomplete tasks, if need be (this will help your revision)
  • Know/learn cinematic techniques, record in glossary
  • Write a practice essay and submit it [based on NY Times review]
    • Have 3-5 questions for me to answer about your writing, be specific

Don’t forget!
You must attend class on FRIDAY to complete the SAC. If you are absent you must provide a doctor’s certificate. If you know that you cannot attend on Friday please arrange a meeting with myself and Mrs Smith to discuss alternatives.

  • Read pp. 104-107 of the textbook [by Friday 20th Feb]
  • Have at least 4 examples of close analysis for each of the four areas of close analysis [by Monday 23rd Feb]
  • Complete pre-reading questions for pp. 104-107 [by Monday 23rd Feb]
  • Complete your practice alternative viewpoints essay on the NY Times review. [bu Monday 23rd]
  • Complete any incomplete tasks, if need be, this will help your revision. [by Monday 23rd Feb]

Hi everyone,

the PREP is as follows;

  • Complete tasks from today (W4Task- Collecting evidence and W4Task- Writing a response in OneNote)
  • Have a go at Task 4 in ‘short story tasks document’ -> Short Story tasks
  • Write another practice paragraph for submission and feedback (like you did in class)
  • Pre-read pp.102-3 in the textbook for examples of using and talking about different types of evidence

Hi everyone,

the PREP is as follows;

  • Know/learn cinematic techniques, record in glossary (refer to textbook chapter on Film)
  • Write a practice intro, BPs and conclusion for feedback based on this review -> NY times review
    • Have 3-5 questions for me to answer about your writing, be specific
  • Complete any overdue tasks

The assessment task will be next Friday, its time to start getting prepared. You will also need to finish reading The Broken Shore and have some tracking notes.
